Puppy house training tips

There are many different ways for house training your puppies.  The main thing is to start house training your puppy the moment he/she gets to their new home.  The worst thing to do is not start soon enough, the long you wait the harder it will be once you start training them.  It is recommended that you give you new puppy a potty break every couple hours.  Also give them one after playing, eating, and sleeping as well.

Puppy house training tipsA good idea to help house training your puppy is to get into a rhythm, feed them the same time everyday, take them out the same time everyday.  Once they get into the routine they will know when it's time to go potty.  Once your puppy gets a little older it is easier for you to tell if he/she needs to go outside to go to the bathroom.  Some of these signs may be, whining at the door, sniffing around the floor, trying to let you know they have to go out.  It makes it alto easier once they know how to tell you that they need to go out.

If your having a hard time potty training because your not home to supervise enough another option is to crate train your new puppy.  Normally healthy dogs will not relieve themselves somewhere where they would have to sit in it.  So crates are a great way to train them, just take them out once you get home and take them after that accordingly.  One thing to keep in mind is if you know the puppy is going to go into the crate soon do not feed them, they may have to go after they eat and if they can't they will end up going in the cage because they cannot hold it anymore and that's not a pretty sight after coming home from a hard day of work.
