Product Models

TomTom offers two types of products navigation devices and navigation software for installation on mobile devices. The TomTom units provide a flying birds eye view of the road along with a direct overhead map view. They use a GPS receiver to the the exact location and to provide a visual and spoken directions on how to drive to certain chosen locations. Some TomTom systems are integrated with mobile phones using Bluetooth, traffic congestion maps or to actually take calls and real aloud messages.

The difference between different TomTom models is based on the software level they have.

TomTom Go- The TomTom go is an all in one GPS navigation device. It features a touch screen, speaker, USB port, and comes with TomTom home software. TomTom charges,synchronizes, and updates its data by connecting to Windows or Mac PC by using the TomTom home software with a USB cable.  Most models have bluetooth that allow connection to a smart-phone, allowing it to make and receive calls.  Models that are bluetooth equipped are able to receive traffic and weather updates using TomTom plus.

TomTom One and One XL- The TomTom One is the base model for the TomTom automobile navigation devices. The difference between TomTom One and TomTom XL is the sizes of the touch screen 3.5 inceases vs. 4.3 inches. These do not include functions that the Go models do but they are able to receive traffic and weather updates using TomTom Plus service when paired with a bluetooth mobile phone that has a DUN data service. Because of the reduced software capability it allows the One to be sold at a much lower price than the Go.

TomTom RIDER-  TomTom rider is a portable model that is used for motorcycles and scooters. Rugged and waterproof the TomTom Rider comes with mounting hardware that fits almost and bike. The Rider comes with a wireless headset for high quality voice instructions inside your helmet.

TomTom Navigator- TomTom Navigator is a GPS navigation software product for personal digital assistants including:
